Polaroids The photos themselves are snapshots, instances in everyday life I try to capture candidly. But I know that the lens acts as a barrier, physically and mentally, between the subject and myself. And I can't hide that. It is not until after I sift through the snapshots that I can begin to probe beyond what's on the surface and make visual or emotional connections that even I wasn't aware of at the time.
